Arthurs dad was there to back him up all the way, he had bailed him out of jail and begged the judge to let him go promising him that his son wouldnt cause anymore trouble. So, after that the Radleys stayed inside a whole lot except to get the necessities they needed and this quote reminded me of the Radleys because they maybe just gave people a reason to think they stayed inside was because of their son. peradventure it wasnt really because of that.
